Folsom Lake College, a part of the Los Rios Community College District, continues to grow and prosper, serving more than 8,700 college students in the communities of eastern Sacramento and western El Dorado counties. Recently recognized as one of the top schools in the nation, FLC offers educational opportunities and support for students to transfer to four-year institutions, improve foundational skills, achieve career goals, and earn associate degrees or certificates. FLC offers more than thirty different degrees and certifications at three locations, including a permanent full-time campus in Folsom. As part of its master plan, FLC is adding additional space, including a new 55,000 square-foot science building that’s slated to break ground in 2022. Located on the Folsom Lake College campus, the Harris Center provides enrichment through a beautiful and state-of-the-art 80,000 square foot regional arts center, and an evolving array of vibrant programs geared for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Get active at the City of Folsom’s sports complex, aquatic center and skate/bike park. You’ll find everything from adult pickleball classes to youth soccer leagues.
Nearby Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area offers trails dedicated to motorcycles, ATVs and four-wheelers.
