The City of Folsom is distributing free face coverings to assist Folsom businesses preparing to reopen.

Beginning Saturday, May 23, businesses can pick up face coverings from the Folsom Public Library at 411 Stafford Street from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., by appointment only. Businesses must be in eligible sectors, complete a registration form, and schedule a pickup time. Face coverings will be distributed daily to local businesses through May 31, as supplies last.

The face coverings were provided by the California Department of Public Health for businesses unable to obtain personal protective equipment. This onetime allocation is available as supply chains stabilize. Businesses will be asked to provide their Employer Identification Number (EIN) and attest that they have been unable to obtain face coverings directly from vendors and suppliers.

Eligible business sectors:

  • Chemical and Hazardous Materials
  • Commercial/Retail
  • Communications and Information Technology
  • Critical Manufacturing
  • Defense Industrial Base
  • Emergency Services
  • Energy
  • Financial Services
  • Food and Agriculture
  • Government Operations and other community based essential functions
  • Healthcare/Public Health
  • Industrial, Commercial, Residential, and Sheltering Facilities and Services
  • Transportation and Logistics
  • Water and Wastewater

Each business category/sector should implement strict social distancing, personal protective equipment, and face coverings as appropriate. Local businesses are encouraged to read the Sacramento County Guidance by Venue/Category and the State of California statewide industry-specific guidance to reduce risk. Questions about the Public Health Order can be directed to the Public Health Hotline at 916-875-2400. For information about Sacramento County COVID-19 cases and public health directives, visit covid19.SacCounty.net
